The JUP-Team continues working on new updated English edition of the book "Ecojobs, Environmental Volunteers in Europe ", including online database of ecological and environmental organization in Europe (http://www.ecojobs.de). Ecojobs was previously published in German under the title “ Unterwegs für die Umwelt, Ökojobs in Europa ” and had a great success in providing young people, interested in voluntary service, with an extensive, comprehensive and up-to-date information: ecological voluntary work, how to become involved, where to find information, different ways of volunteering and the types of work available. This information is sorted into user-friendly chapters which include tips for volunteers such as “the right way to apply” in different languages, detailed overview of the volunteer status and the funding rules.
Right now the team is contacting organizations in more than 15 countries and is a new emphasis has been established – book will provide with information about voluntary service opportunities in Eastern Europe and especially in Russia.
As the previous edition in German, the new edition is also completely prepared by non-profit workers – volunteers!
Due to the deadlines, set by the printing house, applications should be accepted only till 17th January, 2005, but since some of organizations have not responded in time and layout is in the process of improvement, the last deadline for receiving fulfilled questionnaires is the 15th February, 2005.
There is no charge to display some information and a logo of the organisations, yet, donations are welcomed and there are advertising possibilities available.
